Wordnet Series 1, 2 and 3

Wordnet Series 1 –

Product Status and Options:- The Wordnet Series 1 is obsolete; if you are still using this product you should (budget permitting) be planning for immediate replacement because manufacturer support was withdrawn two years ago. BSL do have spare parts but these are limited and yes, we will ship globally. Maintenance contracts are available from BSL to UK users but this is by special arrangement only, so call us if you want this option.

Replacement is the only viable option for Wordnet 1’s and there are excellent choices available in the Vocal Recorder and Nicelog ranges. There is a special trade-in offer available from Vocal so this is definitely worth a look.

Wordnet Series 2 –

Product Status and Options:- The Wordnet Series 2 is obsolete; the manufacturer has announced they will withdraw all support in April 2006. If you are still using this product you should certainly be planning to replace it within the foreseeable future. BSL do have a full complement of spare parts for the Wordnet Series 2 and we do ship globally. Maintenance contracts are available to UK users and under our ‘Long Term Support’ (LTS) scheme we plan to maintain this product through to 2009. Note; you do need to be registered under the LTS scheme to get this extended support, so call if you are interested in this option.

BSL can still provide expansion and enhancement kits for the Wordnet 2, so if you are planning to keep your system for the next few years and you need to add more channels we can do the work for you.

Wordnet Series 3 –
Product Status and Options:- The Wordnet Series 3 is obsolete; the manufacturer withdrew the product as of 28/02/05 and they will cease support 1st February 2010 There are however multiple options available to the Wordnet 3 users with some very special and unique offerings from BSL.

Continued Product Supply:- BSL have some stock of new Wordnet 3’s and will also source additional product on a request basis so if you need to specifically purchase a Wordnet 3, BSL will get it for you.

Keeping what you’ve got:-

BSL will continue to provide full maintenance support for this product for 6 years from the date of cessation, which gives you until March 2011 and longer if required by special arrangement. This means that all channel upgrade and expansion kits will be available for the foreseeable future.

Enhancing your Wordnet 3:-

Software developer kits for the Wordnet 3 have been in use for some time and there are some sweet enhancements that can be added to existing systems that will provide real business benefits and an extended product life. Examples are; NAS network attached storage, SMDR integration, Quality Scoring and WEB browser interface.
